Living room, kitchen and painters office not only give an insight into the life of Dürer but also show the history of the proud and prosperous city of Nuremberg in the 16th century.
Above the town, on a sandstone ridge, stands the symbol of Nuremberg. The Kaiserburg served as the residence of emperors in the Middle Ages, from here they carried out their government business. Today, you can admire the emperor room decorated with paintings, carpets and furniture, and the double chapel, the deep fountain and an extensive collection of weapons and tools admire from that time. From the Freiung and the Sinwellturm one can enjoy a wonderful view over the old town of Nuremberg. Discover this beautiful, historically significant Imperial Palace!
